Spring Tide

Part of the Mistletoe bay camp activities this was the second activity. For this activity we had to choose a scientific word about tides and then we had to find out what the tide was and write about it and then we had to put why it was related to Mistletoe bay and then last we had to put the WALT and a picture. I quite liked this activity because I got to find out about this type of tide because i had never heard of it. And that is what I did for this activity.

Mistletoe Camp Map

In week six we went on camp for the week to Mistletoe Bay in the Marlborough Sounds. The next week when we were back at school we started to do some activities on camp the first one was to create this map of Greymouth to Mistletoe Bay and we had to do the route and then put a marker on three different places and then write a fact about the places. I think this activity was really interesting to find out facts about the different places along the way to Mistletoe Bay.

Brunner mine poem

last week we went to the Brunner mine so the next week/this week we have been working on making poems about it. We had to describe the mine and use at least 1 language feature out of 6 there was onomatopoeia, similes, metaphor, alliteration, rhyme, and personification. I liked this activity because it pushed me to write a poem because i don't really like writing them.
