Fraction Thinkboard

This term we have been looking at fractions. Today we had to show our understanding of fractions on a think board.

First we chose a fraction and put it in the oval. Then we had to show this fraction as a collection, as a shape, the equivalent fractions, the fraction in words, the fraction on a number line and last of all as a decimal.

I think I went quite well on this task.  The part I found the most difficult was converting to decimals and showing the fraction on a number line.  I need to do more practice to get better at this.

WALT:Solve maths problems using place value and basic facts.
I reckon that this activity was fun and cool.  You should try it.
Can you think of a different way to make 679?
