Halloween dressing up

  For Halloween we did dressing up we learnt about why we dress up for Halloween. we dress up for Halloween because back then they would dress up to disguise themselves to scare away the evil spirits so they don't wreck the plants. I think that this activity was really fun you should try it. I was the sunshine viking.

Hollow wood cards

This morning in T4 we were doing Halloween activities and for this one we made a story from story telling cards.

Deep in the enchanted forest the grim reaper takes the soul of a beautiful young lady asleep on the forest floor, He disappears with the soul and leaves a raven who eats her whole. The grim reaper makes his way to his hidden cave. Suddenly a giant falls from the sky smashing the cave.A unicorn fights off the giant leaving a wicked witch in its place. Wicked witch disappears.One of the souls smashes open leaving a ghoul behind.

2 c sugar

½  c milk

25g butter

2 tb cocoa

1 tsp vanilla

Equipment

Bowl of cold water 

Wooden spoon

Method

1. For this you start with putting the sugar, milk,butter and coco

2. Next you put the pot on the element on medium heat and stir until it starts to boil.

3.when it boils for 5 minutes drop a little bit of a knife into water and if it is soft it is ready to put the vanilla in.

4.next you mix the fudge until it is hard 

5. Let it set and it is done.

after story of Goldilocks and the three bears

This is the after story of Goldilocks and the three bears.
After Goldilocks got caught by the bears they called the police they came and the police took her to Juvi
for 1 year and when she came out she was 13 and when she was 14 she had a child called brownie and lived a happy life for the rest of their life. 

For this we had pick a fairy tail to write a after story 

Should everyone have to do athletics?

Should everyone have to do athletics?

Do you think that everybody should to athletics? Well I do and here are some reasons why I think everyone should do athletics.

I think that everyone should have to do athletics because it is good fitness. Some people might only sit in their room and play video games all day long and don’t work out or do any fitness at all. Even a little bit a day would be great so if they do athletics they will at least get a whole day of fitness so you are not too big and be a bit more fit.

Another reason is so you can be healthy if you don’t do exercise like athletics or anything at all you can get obese and stay in your room all the time like a hermit. Then you can get really sick and might have to go to the hospital and there could be a possibility of death. So I suggest to do athletics to stay healthy.

Last reason is that it is fun for a lot of people, some people think that it is really boring but if you train and get really good you would probably think that it would be fun. Personally I think that it is just fun anyway even though i am not that good at it. You can do a lot of fun activities at athletics you would probably at least like one but you just don't want to admit it athletics is really fun think about it.

In conclusion you should do athletics to stay fit, healthy and it is fun. Those were my three reasons why I think everybody should do athletics it is great please try to enjoy it because it is great fun to enjoy the next time you have athletics. Have I changed your mind Yes or No?

Kimono

Today we got to try on some of our teachers kimono that she brought to school. They were really cool because i had never tried one on before or seen one in real life before it was really cool.

Maths Art

 This week and last week we have started to do maths art you had 3 choices of different types of maths art witch were tessellations, enlargements and curves of pursuit. I chose to do  tessellations. before you started the actual art you had to make a DLO. I liked making the art but i didn't really like making the DLO.

Prep

This week and last week we have been doing prep we have to make some products and then we sell them. we start of with a balance of 300 hundred nuggets and then we buy stuff to make our products. 

Financial Literacy

Co-ordinates

This week we have been doing co-ordinates and making a picture from it. I think it was quite challenging at the start but at the end I thought it was fun.

Mean, Mode Median, and Range DLO

 We have learnt about Mean, Mode, Meadian, Range it is quite easy just follow the instructions.

Reading Rotations

This week I was reading a story called The big jump for Reading Rotations. we had to make a slide of the information about the story.  I quite like doing the information because i get to put my opinion of the story of it.

This week I read the story called a school for birds. This story was really interesting . I really liked doing this one because it was really interesting and I learnt a lot.

This term we have started reading rotations. I was in the school journal group. We had to read the story and then write about it. It is all in the slide. i didn't really like this i would prefer something else. But i did like preforming a play.

Hanmer Springs

Last week we went on camp to Hanmer Springs It was so much fun everybody loved It. We did a lot of activities while we were staying there my favourites were Tree Climbing and the pools. Hanmer Springs was so much fun you should go there one day.

This week Wednesday and Thursday we have been working on a Hanmer Springs slide we had to put a map and locate  Hanmer Springs and Greymouth and find the route we would take. We also had to find out how many Km away Hanmer Springs was away from Greymouth and 3 points of interest along the way. Also we had to find how many people lived in Hanmer Springs and what is the average temp in May.  Where is it and 3 things you can do in Hanmer Springs. We are going on camp next week I am so excited. 

Self portraits

This week we have been working self portraits but since it is Easter we had to add a few Eastery features like bunny ears and whiskers I reckon it was really fun. c:
                                                                                                   

poem

 this term we have been working on poems. we had this poster thing delivered to us and there were 13 little things in it and we had to choose one i chose a spider we had to write a poem and send it over but our teacher wanted us to keep the poems so we had to write it on a piece of paper and then water colour it all of them fade in to each other I really liked this because I really enjoy art i recon you should do this.

addition algorithms

This term we have been doing a lot of algorithms. first you add the right  numbers and then you go along the left and add the left numbers and keep doing it but it depends how big the numbers are for how much you have to go along. I kind of liked to algorithms but then also i basically new all of the ones we did do.

Brunner mine poem

last week we went to the Brunner mine so the next week/this week we have been working on making poems about it. We had to describe the mine and use at least 1 language feature out of 6 there was onomatopoeia, similes, metaphor, alliteration, rhyme, and personification. I liked this activity because it pushed me to write a poem because i don't really like writing them.  

Dogs are my favourite things

This week we have been working on book reviews we had to pick a picture book or a book we had read and write a book review we had to include the author what it is about what we rate it who we recommend it for. I quite liked  this doing this.
